The Vermont Historical Society Annual Meeting and Fall Conference features Vermont’s animals. Keynote speaker, Rebecca Woods will discuss the exportation of merino sheep from Vermont to Australia during the 19th century and illustrate the global reach of Vermont’s agricultural past. Afternoon speakers Erica Donnis will talk about animal breeding at Shelburne and Billings Farms and Kirk Webster will discuss beekeeping in Vermont.
