Hello Friends for the Cross Vermont Trail - CVT
I am passing some info on to you about our 18th annual, "Fall Foliage Bike Ride"
Sept. 26th on the Cross Vermont Trail from Kettle Pond Groton State Forrest to
Blue Mt. School in Wells River.
The fun starts at Kettle Pond in Groton State Forest at 9:30 for sign in and bike safety check at 10:00 " We Ride" heading down the scenic rail-bed now the Cross Vermont Trail. The ride just under 20 miles takes you by Groton Lake, Ricker Pond, by beaver ponds, and along the banks of the Wells River, you will enjoy views of the mountains, all as you ride under a canopy of brilliant fall foliage colors on your way to Blue Mt. School in Wells River. At the end of the ride [ about 11:45 to 12:30 ] there will be a cookout for the riders and volunteers.
This is a family friendly ride, an ideal ride to introduce teens to the sport of "Trails Riding".
For the experience rider it is a "Joy Ride" on one of Vermont beautiful trails, the Cross Vermont Trail. A day well spent with laughter and fun, with old friends and making new ones.
We invite you to come, and learn about the Cross Vermont Trail, and ask you to please help us pass this on [ word of mouth, facebook etc.] to others you know that might be interested.
