84, Charing Cross Road is a story about love and the love of books, based on the memoir by Helene Hanff, a feisty New York writer, who mails a letter to a small London bookshop requesting some rare English classics. Frank Doel, the reserved English bookseller, answers her request, beginning a touching. With Anne Bancroft and Anthony Hopkins.
