Has it been awhile since you canoed on a placid mountain lake? Have you ways wanted to get out on the water amidst a scenic backdrop of early fall colors? If you're age 50 and up, and like to be active, Wonder & Wisdom has planned a canoe outing for next Wednesday, September 9th, and we would love for you to join us! We'll meet at the Northwoods Stewardship Center in Charleston for a 10 a.m. quiet paddling experience on a scenic lake. Exploring the fen habitat, we'll see osprey nests, backwaters with sedges, a cedar and red maple swamp, beaver dams and lodges. We'll canoe for about two hours including instruction, then enjoy lunch (bring your own) together.
