Spaghetti and pasghetti come to the Old Town Hall on Sunday, September 13th! In the fourth and final installment of the popular “Second Sunday Family Fun Day” series, the Brookfield Community Partnership will host a spaghetti dinner, followed by a screening of the locally-produced family film Pasghetti Western. Dinner will be served at 5pm, and the film will begin at 6pm. This event is open to all families and free, though donations to support the Old Town Hall maintenance and restoration fund are greatly appreciated.
The family-style meal will feature spaghetti sauce made with Brookfield-grown tomatoes, served over wagon-wheel pasta. Salads and fresh bread will round out the meal.
Pasghetti Western was released in 2014, and was directed by locals Myra and Jim Hudson of Tunbridge, with a cast made up entirely of local children! Pasghetti Western is a fun filled romp with outlaws, ponies and a family out of western history. It’s the quirky tale of a hardscrabble western family, held together by the enduring kindness of a mother who lets nothing wear her down. A sweet and joyful picture, Pasghetti Western captures the innocence and purity of children and animals. It’s a must-see film for children (and adults!) of all ages.
ALSO! The Brookfield Community Partnership is pleased to announce that two of the community’s favorite summer series have been extended! Community Bingo will continue through the month of September on a new night and time – come out on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm to win big and have fun. There is no admission charge, but bring cash to purchase your cards! And all levels yoga with Deonne Myrick will continue in its 6:30pm Tuesday night slot, beginning September 8th and going through October 6th. Admission is by donation.
The summer series at the Old Town Hall is generously sponsored by the Frankenburg Agency of Randolph, with additional support for Pasghetti Western by Day Funerals and yoga by Century 21.
