ARMS PARK NATURE WALK – 9/19/2015 - 1-3pm

On Saturday, September 19 Parks Dept and Save Open Space Burlington are hosting a nature walk on the Arms/Elks Property, 1pm-3pm.

A bedrock to birds natural history exploration of Burlington’s Arms Grant forest. How do rocks formed 500 million years ago create a rich habitat for rare orchids? Where can you see a stream cutting through 10,000-year-old glacial sand? And why does the beach look so different than it did just 4 years ago? Parks Field Naturalist Alicia Daniel will guide a search for clues to these and other mysteries.
