We will be showing the classic romance/thriller film, CASABLANCA, from 1942. Set in unoccupied Africa during the early days of World War II, an American expatriate meets a former lover, with unforeseen complications. Directed by Michael Curtiz, and starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains, Paul Henreid, Peter Lorre, and Sydney Greenstreet. Easily one of the greatest films ever made.
As with our prior film series, this one will feature introductions and after-showing discussions by film scholar Rick Winston. The film will be shown in the program room at the Jaquith Public Library, at Schoolhouse Common, in downtown Marshfield, VT. Admission is free. For more information call 426-3581 or visit our website for a complete listing of the series and other programing! jaquithpubliclibrary.org.
