Farmers Market at Mills Riverside Park
The bounty of your neighbors' farms, gardens, kitchens and workshops will be available for you once again this Thursday at the Jericho Farmers Market 3-6:30. Now your favorites - tomatoes, squash and cucumbers can be found in abundance. In addition, this week you can find beef, chicken, cheese, milk, eggs, syrup, preserves and much, much more.
New Music this week: Penn Johnson. He’s in town over the next couple months playing at Radio Bean and the Monkey House, and at OUR farmers market. Wearing his activist heart on his sleeve he sings about the things he cares about - playing some of his own stuff and old favorites like Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie and James Taylor. Remember, if you are traveling, maple candy from Julia at Vermont Maple Forest Product or Syrup from Craig Walker makes a great, very-Vermont gift to take along. A loaf of fresh bread from Jean-Marie or Davorka (The French Way Bakery and Mostar Home Catering, respectively) makes a lovely thing to bring along to a dinner or for a hostess gift. Vermont Cheese, eggs, jams, and other preserves are all available and are portable enough to take with you.
