September is the officially designated month for river clean ups in VT. The Cambridge Conservation Commission (CCC) is looking for groups or individuals that would like to help clean up the Lamoille River and the Cambridge Greenway, by boat or by foot, on Saturday September 12th. We are hoping people get out to enjoy the beautiful Greenway and the Lamoille River, and pick up some trash/tires etc. along the way!
We will be concentrating on the Greenway and also the section of river from the Cambridge Junction covered bridge to the Fish and Wildlife-Dorothy Smith Access Area on Route 108.
Would like to help but the 12th doesn’t work for you? Interested in cleaning up an area that is not included on this stretch of river? Contact Tim and we can try to figure something out!
The CCC has received a Community Clean-Up Grant from the Lamoille Solid Waste District to help pay for this event.
Please e-mail TimLarned@myfairpoint.net with any questions or just to let him know you are interested.
Thanks- from the Cambridge Conservation Commission
