After the film there will be several mini-presentations from local groups that are doing anti-racism work and how to get involved. This event is meant to bring folks together who are working on/interested in working on similar issues of racial justice. We may not all have the same approach or agree about what is most effective, but lets get together to better understand what is being done, network with each other and find ways to plug in.
Some groups that will be presenting: the Barre Reading Group, Central Vermont Educators and Parents, Central Vermont SURJ (Showing Up for Radical Justice), Justice For All, Northeast Kingdom Allies for Racial Justice, and Reading Against Racism.
If you are part of a project/group that is engaged in racial justice work and would like to do a mini (5 mins. or less) presentation, or be listed in a handout, please get in touch! (sharrow32@yahoo.com)
