Inquiries about whether the dirt pile resolution can be amended: The answer is yes, people can propose an amendment, and ask the maker of the resolution if it is a "friendly amendment." If Yes, it will be added If No, it needs a second and a vote on the amendment. If the vote is Yes, then the amended resolution is voted on. If No, the original resolution is voted on. The agenda time is limited, so if you want to propose an amendment, please bring several copies in writing to share, and read.

REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT:
~How about adding that a sampling station be set up to determine how much PCB left the pile and went into the stream/surrounding area/ lake? Hugo Martinez Cazon (state DEC/ANR) was asked about this three times on CCTV, and he said on TV that it can be done and he'd talk with Megan Moir about coordinating.

TAPE OF LIVE INTERVIEW ON CCTV: Development, Brownfields, Urban Living 08/04/2015. ~How about also adding to the resolution- "resolve to get answers so that we can figure out how to avoid this in the future!"

~QUESTIONS FOR THE CITY

~ Who located the pile- specific location- to the inch?
~ Was anyone in the City gov. aware that PCB's were likely to be found in the soil?
~ Were regulatory procedures followed explicitly?
~ What are the regulatory procedures?.
~ When does the state get involved when they are notified that contaminated soils are being disturbed?
i.e.- how often do they actually inspect the process?
~ Is more contaminated soil being stockpiled elsewhere in the city? Schifilliti Park?
