Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Committee Meeting

The Town of Pittsford, VT is in the process of drafting an updated Local Hazard Mitigation Plan, a plan which will make the town eligible to apply for Hazard Mitigation Planning Grants from FEMA. The committee is meeting on Wednesday to discuss:

• Which areas or structures in the town are most vulnerable to natural hazards
• Prioritizing town mitigation projects
• Severe storm history within the town

It is the intent that a draft plan will be produced after this meeting, and said draft will be posted on the town website for public viewing. Comments on the plan may be submitted to Elysa Smigielski, Rutland Regional Planning Commission, at: elysa@rutlandrpc.org
