A Lincoln Community School Board member forwarded this invitation to me today with the request to post it on FPF.

Act 46 has just passed in the legislature, and the Lincoln Community School Board is bracing for its impact on our school budgets and our local control. We have invited Representative Dave Sharpe, an architect of the Act, to return to the community and answer questions about Act 46. He will be here at Burnham Hall at 7pm on Monday 8/31.
Some important questions for Rep. Sharpe may be:

· Small schools will have to close under Act 46; how do we protect our school?

· How will state mandated penalties impact schools with declining student populations?

· What evidence exists that large school districts are an efficient cost-savings measure?
