The City Council's Public Safety Committee will be holding a public hearing TONIGHT, 8/19, 7-9 pm, in the Community Room at the Sustainability Academy at Barnes. Some councilors have heard concerns after the shooting that happened a few weeks ago on North St, coupled with longer term concerns regarding substance abuse and drug dealing on North St and throughout our neighborhood. We have invited people who can speak to these issues.

This will be the second of four public hearings regarding safety that are being held in each district of the city. Next month we will meet on or near the UVM Campus and in October we will meet in the South End
