Our Valley mirrors the problems of life generally. If you feel more than a 5 out of 10 about any of the issues posted here, or have others that matter to you, please come to another Thursday meeting, August 20th at the Valley Professional Center at 5:30.
- The Polo Field
It can only be used for polo as any other uses were prohibited when it was donated to the town. It takes $8000 off the tax rolls and must be maintained by the town. Should we give it back to the Flemer family?
- The Pocket Park
It is a 20' square of concrete sitting beside the covered bridge. Is it worth spending $180,000 on? Would a couple of picnic tables and an umbrella do the trick?
- Act 46 and local control of our schools
- Town Meeting Changes
The Town Meeting Study Group spent a year researching ways to enable more people to participate in Town Meeting and to be able to vote by Australian ballot versus voting from the floor. The Select Board rejected their proposal.
Is the Select Board opposed to helping more people to be able to vote?
When what seems like common sense to a lot of people goes out the window, we are left without adequate ways of determining what people want.
No more grousing. Let't together find new ways of thinking about how to live together with more contentment.
