On Tuesday, August 18th, at 7:00 p.m., at the Elmore Town Hall, Daren Houck will speak on the benefits and the challenges of being an independent school, as well as the successes of The Mountain School at Winhall and the Village School of North Bennington. The Elmore Education Committee, a group of Elmore residents, is sponsoring this informative presentation.

Mr. Houck currently serves as Headmaster of Lyndon Institute. He previously served as Head of School for The Mountain School at Winhall for 10 yrs., an independent school in Bondville, VT. He is owner of Green Mt. Educational Consulting, was a founding board of trustees member of the Village School of North Bennington, and is an active member of the Independent Schools of Northern New England and the Vermont Independent Schools Association board of directors.
