The Public Safety Committee of the City Council is holding a public meeting to hear from residents about public safety issues this Wednesday, August 19, 7-9 at the Sustainability Academy community room. This is the second of four hearings the Committee is holding this year, one in each of the four Council districts. The recent shooting on North Street should be a wake-up call to recommit ourselves to community policing, enforcement, better access to substance abuse and mental health treatment, and community development. Come share your concerns and ideas about neighborhood safety.
