The Black Snake was a smuggling ship used on the Winooski (Onion) River and Lake Champlain. At the time most locals were against the trade embargo and sympathized with the smugglers.

Gary will present information concerning both the 1808 killing of three men near the Homestead as well as additional background on the sponsors of this horrendous crime, several Burlington area professional men.
