PITTSFIELD, VT — Come celebrate the end of summer at Pittsfield’s Picnic on
Sunday, Aug. 30 from 12:00-5:00 p.m.
This gathering on the town green originated from necessity immediately after Tropical Storm Irene, when local businesses had no power for refrigeration. One year later, an anniversary party called Pittsfield’s Town Shut Down (PTSD), was held commemorating our towns' community strength during and after the storm. In 2013, it was re-named Pittsfield’s Picnic and has now become an annual potluck event to reconnect our neighbors and new and old friends from near and far.
In addition a Blood Drive has been added from 12-5pm. Walk-ins are welcome. If you prefer an appointment, please schedule by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or email http://www.redcrossblood.org. Below is the days' agenda.
