Past event
Sep 8, 2015

The Greensboro Free Library will host a book discussion of "Myne Owne Ground: Race and Freedom on Virginia’s Eastern Shore, 1640-1676" by T. H. Breen and Stephen Innes on Tuesday, September 8th at 4:00 p.m.

Ever since its publication twenty-five years ago, "Myne Owne Ground" has challenged readers to rethink much of what is taken for granted about American race relations. Come join us to discuss the book and the history of black slaves in early Virginia with author Tim Breen.

Come in and pick up a copy of the book and join the discussion of the history of slavery in America. It will give you a new understanding of race relations in America. Call Mary Metcalf, Librarian, at 533-2531 for more information.
