Come & Sing with South Burlington Community Chorus

Past event
Aug 25, 2015, 6:30 to 9 PM

The South Burlington Community Chorus will be performing in the 2015 Vermont Sings for Peace Concert to be held Sunday, September 20th at 2:30 pm in the Saint Michael’s College Chapel. This year’s concert benefits the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater. The Concert is FREE, although donations are encouraged. This will be a wonderful opportunity to come
together as a Community, enjoy some wonderful music and help support a great cause!

In order to prepare for this very special event, the SBCC will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, August 25th at 7 p.m. in the South Burlington High School Multi-purpose room. The first 4 weekly rehearsals will concentrate on preparation for the Peace Concert. Some of the pieces will then be incorporated into the annual Holiday Concert program in early December. This promises to be an exciting semester!

The Chorus welcomes anyone who likes to sing, no matter what your previous musical experience has (or has not) been. The only requirements are the ability to match pitch with other singers and a commitment to attend rehearsals regularly. Singers are asked to pay $50 dues and also to cover the cost of their music(TBA). The first 2 rehearsals are FREE so give it a try!

The SBCC is funded, in part, by the South Burlington Recreation and Parks Department. As part of their mission, the Chorus offers limited financial assistance so that everyone who meets the minimum requirements can “Come & Sing”.
