Challenge Yourself, and Support the Catamount Trail Association at the North Face Race to the Top of Vermont

Challenging yourself is good for your body, good for your mind, and if participating at the North Face Race To The Top Of Vermont made possible by KLmountainshop.com... It's good for Vermont! The North Face Race To The Top Of Vermont will be held for the 8th time on Sunday, August 23rd attracting more than 800 people from over 25 states and Canada to run, bike or hike 4.3 miles up the Toll Road on Mt Mansfield.

This event is a fundraiser for the Catamount Trail Association (CTA) and raises money that is used develop and maintain backcountry skiing terrain in Vermont.

Did you know, that the CTA's mission encompasses much more than the 300 mile long Catamount Trail (CT) which runs the full length of Vermont? Beyond maintaining the trail corridor the CTA also offers a variety of backcountry skiing instructional events and tours, and is involved in the development of new backcountry skiing zones through the Vermont Backcountry Alliance. There are free single-day tours on and off the trail; multi-day tours in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine; and instructional courses covering everything from lightweight touring to alpine touring and splitboarding. It doesn't matter how you prefer to travel in the backcountry, we have you covered.

So, during these dog days of summer when you find yourself wishing for snow and thinking about skiing, know that there is something you can do right now to help improve the backcountry skiing opportunities here in Vermont... Register For The North Face Race To The Top Of Vermont!
