The Horace Greeley Writers' Symposium is a celebration of Horace Greeley's life. The symposium explores the art of writing as presented by publishers and writers in the fields of literature, poetry, philosophy, and history.

This year’s keynote speaker is Peter Biello, host of “All Things Considered” at New Hampshire Public Radio. Biello is the founder of the Burlington Writers Workshop. Featured presenters are William Notte, freelance editor; Julia Shipley, poet and independent journalist; Amy Murphy, memoirist and Associate Professor of English at Green Mountain College.

The Symposium is a dynamic day of learning and nurturing for writers of all ages, experience levels, and genres. This event draws writers and authors from across New York and New England to Poultney every year.
