Malletts Bay Music will offer a free showcase featuring several artists at the Lake Champlain Maritime Festival on Sunday, August 9, on the Burlington Waterfront. The showcase will begin with The Aaron Flinn Band at noon for an hour, followed by the Phil Henry Trio, Sam Creigh, Adlai Waxman, Emily Nyman, Steve Hartmann, Casey Dubie, Christine Malcolm and Bow Thayer each presenting a 20-minute set. Crazyhearse will close the set with an hour performance at 4:15. A free download card of the compilation project, ‘Twists & Bends-Various Vermont Artists’, will be given out in exchange for an email address to keep audience members informed of upcoming events. CDs and T-Shirts will also be sold at discounted prices that will help benefit the promotion of independent artists. Get there early.
