Caring for Our Most Vulnerable Children
Do you want to contribute to the well-being of the children in your community?
Consider volunteering as a court-appointed children’s advocate – become a Guardian ad Litem.
There are many children in the Family Court system because of abuse, neglect, delinquency or custody disputes. Volunteering to become a Guardian ad Litem means YOU can be a voice for a child and speak to their best interests during the court process - helping get them to a safe, permanent home quickly. Visits with the child, court hearings and other meetings equate to about a few hours of your time a month. Comprehensive training and support are provided.
Informational Open House, September 15, noon, at the Addison County Courthouse, 7 Mahady Ct., Middlebury, VT.
To inquire about the VT Guardian ad Litem program and/or obtain an application, please email Tony Krulikowski at anthony.krulikowski@vermont.gov or visit the website at www.vermontjudiciary.org.GTC/Family/GAL.aspx
