On Saturday, August 22, 2015, Vermont Adaptive will host the third annual Bolton Valley 5K Trail Walk/Run. This fundraiser aims to support our mission of empowering people with disabilities through year-round, state-wide inclusive sports and recreational programming, regardless of ability to pay. Register by August 18th and receive a code to get $10 off entry to the HopJam happening directly after the event.

Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports is a nationally recognized organization to provide adaptive sports outings to people with disabilities for over 28 years. We are the largest non-profit in the state to do so, and we serve all ages and all (dis)abilities including those with physical, cognitive, behavioral, and developmental disabilities. Vermont Adaptive has more than 400 volunteers and instructors, who donate more than 17,000 hours to our programs annually.

In 2012, this trail run was the Run Strong Vermont 5K to benefit Tropical Storm Irene recovery in the Waterbury area. Two years ago Bolton Valley handed the reigns over to Vermont Adaptive. The 5K trail run takes place on Bolton’s Nordic Trails and is a scenic run that travels primarily through wooded trails with moderate up and down grades. Trails will range from groomed to muddy and semi-rocky terrain. The overall winner (male and female) will receive awards as well as top finishers in each age category.
