Mid Summer Night's Dream Film for GMPA Kids Night Out Friday 7/31

GMPA Executive Director Heather Morris and artist Karen Cormier are hosting a Kids Night Out Multi-Media Movie Night, this Friday, 5:45-8:00pm, at Green Mountain Performing Arts, 37 Commercial Drive, Waterbury, VT, behind Juniper's Fare. $20.00 Donation includes: Guided viewing of film excerpts, pizza dinner, a dance re-enactment and a hands-on art activity that revolves around lighting and movie effects.

A Mid Summer Night's Dream 1935 is a masterpiece of film directed by Max Reinhardt with some of the most transcendent depictions of the magical realm of fairies ever created. Mickey Rooney of 14 years, barks and squeaks his way through the film as Puck. The fairy scenes are the influence of later masterworks Fantasia and Wizard of Oz.
