The T.W. Wood Gallery at 46 Barre St In Montpelier, VT announces the new Art Resource Association (ARA) members show. The opening reception is Thursday July 30th, 5:00-7:00 PM at the Gallery. The reception is an excellent opportunity to meet many of the artists and view their work, which will be available for purchase. Refreshments will be served. The exhibit runs through Friday, September 18th. Gallery summer hours are Tuesday-Friday 10 am-4pm. Stop by and visit us at the Center for Arts and Learning at 46 Barre St, East Wing, 2nd floor in Montpelier.

The ARA is an organization of Central Vermont artists whose goal is to promote and support its member artists and is celebrating their 40th anniversary. The Association notes that they believe in art - that it makes our world a better place and that it needs to be shared.

The Wood Art Gallery was founded in 1895 and houses one of the largest permanent collections in the state. In addition to the works of T.W. Wood and many of his artistic colleagues and contemporaries, the Gallery is also the repository for Vermont's portion of the Federal WPA collection. The gallery also regularly hosts contemporary art exhibits in its main hallway.
