Past event
Aug 15, 2015, 10 AM to 4 PM

One mile east of VT route 30, on route 4A in Castleton is a Vermont gem: a Colonial village complete with a classic town green; nothing Disney-phony about it, this is an authentic New England treasure. Since the late-1930s, the best early American buildings in Castleton have opened their distinguished interiors one day per year for a ticketed tour. The date for 2015 is Saturday, August 15 and the tickets are a bargain at $20 for adults and $18 for guests age 65 and above.

Several buildings in the village of Castleton are included in "Buildings of Vermont" by Glenn M. Andres and Curtis B. Johnson. Some of the featured buildings showcase the 19th century work of master craftsman and designer Thomas Dake. Vintage clothing; antique quilts; ice cream social.

Sponsored by the Castleton Women's Club, ALL ADMISSIONS PROCEEDS FUND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CASTLETON STUDENTS.
