This Wednesday, members of the Green Mountain Chapter of The Embroiderers' Guild of America (EGA) will be hosting a "stitch-in" in the Waterbury Public Library from 10 AM - Noon to showcase the art of embroidery. EGA is a national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the study and preservation of the art of embroidery.
They welcome everyone from the community to come and watch, possibly learn a thing or two, and ask questions. Feel free to drop in at any time, or stay for the whole 2 hours.
This showcase is encouraged for ALL ages and is free and open to the public. A limited number of free embroidered bookmarks will be given away as well - first come first served!
