Saturday, July 25, from 10am to 3pm, the Barton Public Library will hold it’s 5th annual Crafts of the Lake Region, promoting handcrafted goods from the Northeast Kingdom. Repeat customers will look for the tents spread over the gracious lawn of the Barton Academy and Graded School knowing they will find high quality handcrafted goods of varying prices – jewelry, wood products, foods, pottery, photos, folk art, handbags, furniture, beauty products and much more. This year, the number of vendors is increased by many crafts people new to this show. Many of the vendors, old and new, are featured on the event’s Facebook page – Crafts of the Lake Region. Meals will be available from the popular local foods truck, 802Fresh. A raffle of vendors’ products benefits the library. There will be open air painting with an exhibit and local musicians provide quiet music to shop by or a chance just to sit and listen. There is no charge for this event and plenty of free parking nearby. For further information, call 525-4538.
