The house at 577 Lincoln Gap Road "Christie's" will be moved up the Gap Road on Wednesday, July 22nd. At 11am Green Mountain Power and Waitsfield Telecom will begin work on the lines over the road by the house. At 12 noon, the house will begin the 8/10ths mile drive up to 1386 Lincoln Gap Road. The road will be closed at Garland's Bridge and will remain closed until the move is complete.

The public is welcome to come out and watch. Here are some helpful tips.
- Bring a chair, your lunch and a camera. (but it's probably best to leave your pet at home)
- The field across from the Goodyear Farm (where the pavement ends) is open for parking.
- Keep in mind, once the house starts moving you will only have limited access (via Geary Road) to get to the parking area.
- Do not park on the road side anywhere along the move route.
- I would suggest you don't plan to stand/watch any closer than 50 feet from the house. The moving company will have final say in the matter.
- The move could last anywhere from 1 hour to 4 hours, depending upon unforeseen issues.
