July 21 at Tuesday Night Live

Past event
Jul 21, 2015, 5 to 8:30 PM

It is a 5:00 PM start for Tuesday Night Live on July 21 at the Legion Field, School Street, Johnson. Tim Jennings & Leanne Ponder present traditional world folktales, interwoven with Celtic music on harp and concertina. By combining their voices and creative talents, the duo has developed a form of entertainment that is truly magical.
Vocalist and song writer Tammy Fletcher has accomplished a great deal in the musical world since she helped to create Johnson’s Tuesday Night Live in the 1990s. She will step on the TNL stage at 6 PM with Bob Hill on guitar. Whether performing an impromptu set with Phish, performing a duet with Grace Potter, or returning to the TNL stage, you can count on Tammy to deliver powerful, soulful vocals and give a memorable performance.
At 7:15 PM Professor Fairbanks and the Staff step on the TNL stage. Peter Fairbanks Miller is a master of the violin and related instruments. He will be playing electric violin and acoustic guitar and singing an original set, debuting his new songs. He will be backed by Dakota Foley, Jesse Cowen, and Rico Callahan.
Tuesday Night Live is free, just bring a blanket or chair. Parking is along School Street, in the Elementary School Parking lot, and the McClelland lot on College Hill. Summer showers may dampen the enthusiasm for a few minutes; but the music goes on unless there it is lightning and thunder.
The opening act is courtesy of the Johnson Public and Lanpher Memorial Libraries. Tuesday Night Live is organized and managed by Cal Stanton with a host of volunteers and financially supported by local businesses including: Chuck’s Bikes, Concept 2, Foote Brook Farm, Forget Me Not Shop, Johnson Hardware & Rental, Johnson State College, Laraway Youth and Family Services, and Polow, Polow & Mahoney. Also, R. E. Construction, Rock Art Brewery,
Sterling Market, The Studio Store, Vermont Studio Center, and Carrie Cook Design. Also Lost Nation Brewing, Landmark Tavern, Moog’s Place, and Green Mountain Troutfitters.
