In this unique concert, Counterpoint, Vermont’s professional vocal ensemble, celebrates the life and vision of the great American song-writer, activist, and performer Pete Seeger (1919-2014.) Counterpoint’s Founder and Director Emeritus Robert De Cormier has prepared stirring choral arrangements of favorites songs such as “If I Had a Hammer,” “Where Have All the Flowers Gone,” and “Turn Turn Turn.” Guitarist Peter Matthews, bassist Don Baldini, and Vermont’s young folk sensation Eric George join the twelve classically-trained singers of Counterpoint for an inspiring evening of Seeger’s classic songs. We’ll finish the evening with a singalong, of course, just as Pete would have wanted!
