International Empanada Night
Event: Thursday August 6, 2015
Come join ex Sugarbush Executive Chef Kevin Ritchie, the founder, and owner of La Lu Farm artisan Cheese maker in Warren, Vermont and Constancia Gomez, a native Argentinian living in the Mad River Valley, for a cultural evening.
Treat yourself the way the natives do, in Argentina and learn to make empanadas (turnovers) stuffed with various delicious ingredients (corn, spinach, muzarella, meat, etc). Constancia and Kevin will have everyone making your own empanadas with different combinations of fillings. Fried or baked, they make a great food as a min course or as the family dinner.
Never had Chipa? You will not understand WHY? Come and make this delicious dish that Argentine people have every afternoon?
Never had Mate? Only had an Americanized version? Constancia will introduce you to the pleasures of this versatile tea as a hot, cold or enhanced beverage.
All food and materials included in the $55 fee.
