Description: Alburgh Summerfest 2014 Spend the day at the Alburgh Summerfest, August 15, from 10 am - 5 pm.
It will be filled with Fun Music and Food! The Alburgh Business Community has graciously been loaned the use of the old Blue Grass Field to hold our ever-growing Car Show and a wonderful Festival! The Vintage Cars will be a great event to see, or bring your own vintage car and see how it rates among the rest in the field.
The Lawnmower Drag racing will be lots of fun for all the participants and viewers. We will be offering both Stock and Open Classes. Don't forget your helmet! The best time wins!!!
Contests! Contests! Contests! All great cooks are encouraged to bake their favorite pie, and/or Maple Baked good, and enter to win first place in either of these competitions. The Pie Eating Contest is by far the most comical and appreciated. And don't forget the Large Veggie Decorating Contest --- Create your whimsical character at the Festival.
Entry information, registration and rules for both the Lawnmower Races and the Baking Contests are on our website www.abcalburgh.com And...The Alburgh Crazy Olympic Games will be happening in two rounds and both welcome 'athletes' from 1-99. And if you need more to do---Children's crafts will entertain the kiddos- and Marshmallow Target Shooting is sure to be a hit.
There will be vendors to please everyone. Treat yourself to a Great Chicken Barbeque by the Alburgh Fire Department, along with all your favorite festival foods- Hot Dogs, Michigan's, Burgers, Sausage & Peppers, Fried Dough, Maple Kettle corn, Maple Cotton Candy, Whoopie Pies, freshly squeezed lemonade and other tasty treats throughout the Festival.
And - we saved the best for last- on stage Donna Thunder and The Storm and friends will be our lead band starting around 12:30 and continuing through the afternoon with the very popular Take 2, and Nashville Recording Star Donnie Dean Williams.
