Recently I attended with some New Haven residents the first hearing on a proposal by Next Generation Solar that seeks to construct approximately 20 acres of solar panels on Field Days Road. I am writing you today to inform you of the following public hearings:

The Public Service Board hearing officer Michael Tousley will conduct a site visit of the proposed Next Generation solar generation facility on Wednesday, July 15th at 4:00 p.m. Attendees should meet at 820 Field Days Road in New Haven promptly at 4; park alongside Field Days Road and be dressed to walk 700+ feet uphill through meadow to the proposed project area.

A public hearing will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Congregational Church in New Haven. This is the opportunity for members of the public, especially those for whom other participation in the Section 248 proceedings may be logistically difficult, to ask questions and let their thoughts be known about the project.

Also, should you desire to seek "Intervenor" status, which basically gives you legal rights to be involved in the process, you have until July 23, 2015 to do so.
