Who's ready for fresh fruits and veggies? WE ARE! The 2015 WIC Farm to Family program is gearing up to begin this summer. Farm to Family coupons help you buy locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmers' markets, including the Champlain Islands Farmers Market. All active WIC participants (6 month and up) are eligible for a coupon booklet that is worth $30!
You can pick up your Farm to Family Coupons right at the Champlain Islands Farmers’ Market on Wednesday, July 8 or Wednesday, August 5, from 3:00-6:00 pm.
South Hero Land Trust is teaming up with the Vermont Department of Health to share some great recipes for meals made with fresh fruits and vegetables from the Farmers’ Market. We’ll have free samples, tips, and recipes cards to hand out to everyone who comes to that market.
