A bike ride in memory of Dr. Ken Najarian is planned for Friday, July 10th. The ride will begin at 5:30pm at Charlotte Beach. At 5:30pm riders will proceed, at a modest pace, south on Lake Rd. to Thompson Point Rd., then east to Greenbush Rd. continuing south to the accident scene, then turnaround and return back to Charlotte Beach on the same route. Riders will be escorted by Sheriff cruisers. The intersections of Lake/Ferry, Lake/Thompson Pt., and Thompson Pt./Greenbush will be covered by Shelburne Police. The approximate distance of the ride is 13 miles. Riders will be on the road between 5:30pm-6:45pm. Many thanks to UVM Medical and Shelburne Police for their support.

Parking at Charlotte Beach is limited to 60-70 currently. There may be additional parking for 200 or so if the field remains dry this week. The Charlotte train station is available. Shelburne Orchards has also offered to take overflow vehicles if necessary. Shelburne Orchards lot is at the corner of Greenbush and Orchard Rd. Riders are encouraged to “ride in” from the surrounding area to ease congestion at Charlotte Beach. Many thanks to Dean Bloch and Bill Fraser-Harris of the Town of Charlotte for all their support.
