Week 3 of Superhero Summer at the Library: Animal Heroes!

Past event
Jul 7, 12 PM to 3 PM, Jul 8, 2015

At Johnson Public Library this week, we have culled an awesome assortment of books about heroic animals and amazing animal rescues to tie into our theme for week 3 of the Summer Reading Program: Animal Heroes!
Also check out the free programs for kids this week:
On Tuesday from 12-1:30, all ages of children are welcome to join us as we complete the finishing touches to our new Little Free Library!! The main construction of the box is complete, but we still need a lot of help with adding shingles to its tiny roof, choosing colors and painting, making a tiny sign, and any other decorative elements that kids wish to contribute.
Also on Tuesday from 2-3pm, the Thunder Crashers (ages 4-6) will meet in the crafting room to make the most positively adorable animal mobiles. Older kids are welcome to join as well, as we all know that no room is complete without a mobile hanging somewhere! (And these mobiles are gonna be so cute!)

On Wednesday from 10-11am, Pam will have story time in the main library.
And also on Wednesday from 12-2pm, all kids ages 7 and up will have the chance to be a hero for all the dear little animal friends in need at the North Country Animal League. The library is taking a group of willing and wonderful kid volunteers to the shelter to help in whatever way is needed, and there are still spots available for more kids to sign up. Please call or stop by the library to register for this, as there is limited space. We may also be in need of an additional adult to volunteer to drive- so please call the library if you are interested in helping.

And finally, a quick note in preparation for next week's programs: the theme is Superheroes, and we are planning two awesome parties and one cool workshop to teach some killer drawing techniques for comic book and manga drawings!! Stay tuned for details!
