Join us Tuesday July 14th at 10am at the Greensboro Free Library for an engaging presentation about butterflies with local butterfly expert Jerry Schneider. Children will learn the how, where, and when of the amazing Monarch migration in a slide show with Jerry Schneider. The differences between butterflies and moths will be discussed, where to find butterflies and how to attract them to our gardens. Learn interesting butterfly facts and behaviors. See many preserved examples. After the presentation, children will create their own butterfly tee shirts using Rit dye sprays, plants and butterfly cutouts. Children may purchase shirts for $4.00 or bring their own.
This event is free and open to the public.
All are welcome to stay for a free lunch for youth from 11:30am-12:30pm courtesy of the OSSU, USDA, and Hunger Free Vermont.
