Grow Your Own will hold a gathering on the topic of home composting at Atkins Field on Granite Street in Hardwick on July 11 from 11:30 to 1:30. Gatherings are free and open to the public and children are welcome, but space is limited. RSVP to Hardwick Area Food Pantry Coordinator Ruby Dale-Brown by July 9. Tom Gilbert of Black Dirt Farm will lead this gathering, about composting. The group will build a compost bin out of pallets for the community gardens and will all enjoy a meal together. Grow Your Own is a project of the Center for an Agricultural Economy, Hardwick Area Food Pantry and NEK Kids on the Move.
