The Charlotte Covered Bridge 1/2 Marathon is this Saturday, September 14, 8am-11:30am.

The Route: Racers will be leaving Shelburne Beach at 8am then taking a right on to Greenbush headed south, right on Orchard, Orchard to Lake, Lake to Ferry, Crossing Ferry, Turning around at Converse Bay and returning back to Shelburne Beach. The Water Stops will be at Charlotte Beach and Converse Bay Rd.

There will be 300 runners. The runners are instructed to run against traffic. Runners are asked to run no more than two abreast. This should help to control congestion along Orchard, Ferry, and Lake. The Shelburne Police will be assisting. The first racer will finish the race in 1.5 hrs and the last 3 hrs.

This event is approved by Charlotte Recreation and the Charlotte Select Board.
