Hi Everybody...the Winooski VT for Nepal group is having a fundraiser on the evening of August 22nd at the O'Brien Center. We are supporting a local Nepali school, the Maya Institute, which is doing long term work to make sure children affected by the recent earthquake have food, clothes, shelter and education. We're hoping to have a fun night with a dance, food and a silent raffle. So if you have an item to donate or you would give few hours to share your expertise...in order to support the Silent Auction. ..we would love to hear from you? If you would like to provide music for a dance, or solicit local Gift Certifcates, we need you, too. More details to follow.....A planning meeting for this event will be this Monday, July 6 at the O'Brien Center at 7 in the small conference room in the back..look for signs. This should be a fun and meaningful event and a way for Nepali and non-Nepali neighbors to meet each other.
