Waste Not, Want Not - Compost & Recycling Informational Event

How can I reduce my weekly trash? What’s really recyclable? What is composting? On Saturday, June 27, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on the LiHigh Lawn in downtown Poultney, VT for Waste Not, Want Not, an educational waste-reduction program sponsored by the Stone Valley Community Market. In light of the new “pay-as-you-throw” policy at the Poultney Transfer Station, experts at the event will educate attendees on waste reduction strategies. Jim Ogorman of Rutland County Solid Waste will be available to answer your questions about waste reduction, as well as a representative from the Green Mountain College Sustainability Office. Additionally, kids activities will be available.
