An Evening of Song with Mark Shelton

Past event
Jun 28, 2015

Did you know singer Mark Shelton is a veteran? Just like his idol, Elvis Presley, he was stationed in Germany. Just like many Northeast Kingdom veterans, Mark honorably served his country. Did you know the Council on Aging’s case managers partner with the VA’s Veterans Independence Program (VIP), a veteran-directed home and community-based program?

Give a listen to Mark singing “G.I. Blues” from the Grammy-nominated 1960 film starring Elvis. The video is a tribute to Sgt. Presley and is dedicated to USAF Airman Barry Shelton, Mark's son; to all of Mark's Army buddies who served with him in Germany and, by extension, to all the veterans helped by VIP.

If you want to support the Council’s work on behalf of NEK vets and their families, please consider buying a ticket for the benefit concert Sunday at LI Auditorium. Call Catamount Arts: 802-748-2600.
