Jeanne’s Bio
Born in New York, Jeanne comes from a long line of musicians. She started playing violin at age 7 and had a rich grade school experience playing with many orchestras and quartets all over Long Island. Once she graduated she moved to Vermont, where she met her husband Chris and settled down in East Hardwick, VT. Jeanne continues to play on occasion with the Vermont Philharmonic and give private violin, teach at the Summit School and give fiddle lessons. Her students have gone on to participate in many successful local groups including the Green Mountain Youth Symphony. Jeanne continues study fiddle with Pete Sutherland, and collaborate with many of the previous members of the Butterbeans in the current band Granite Junction. Additionally, Jeanne plays throughout the Northeast Kingdom in a folk duo with Jim Daniels and partners with Vermont Violins in Montpelier.
