Volunteers are signing up to help the 4th of July Committee make this the best 4th of July Street Fair & Parade in Wardsboro's history. It is the volunteers who make it work. We have many, but many more are needed. The chicken bbq needs people to serve the side dishes, which include home made baked beans; the strawberries need to be prepared the day before in the vestry for the shortcake and served on the 4th; the pies need to be made the day before in the town hall kitchen; the church cleaned and sparkling for the glorious quilt show, and the book sale at the library can use more help both the day before and the day of the 4th of July. Music and Mark Lohr's Family Circus will entertain the crowd. We expect the parade will be as eclectic as usual. See www.4thofjulywardsboro.com.
