A day to take in the wisdom and spiritual nourishment that contemplating nature gives. Saturday, June 20, we will gather at 9 AM at Mary Hill's place. The retreat will include silent meditation, guided meditation, music, quiet conversation, and opportunities to do art and spend time with nature. The retreat will wrap up a bit after 3 PM. Snacks and a soup and bread lunch will be provided.
The retreat will be led by the Rev. Dr. Regina Christianson, Rector Calvary Episcopal Church, who has studied this creation-affirming spiritual tradition and has visited both Lindisfarne (Holy Island, England) and the Isle of Iona, Scotland. The two islands were centers of teaching for centuries in the Middle Ages and have become so again, connecting awareness of the sacred in all creation, daily life, earth stewardship, and care for those in need. Regina will bring her Celtic Harp. Mary Hill is an artist who is deeply connected to our Underhill/Jericho community. Email me if you have any questions, including directions to Mary Hill's place.
