Vermont Annual Activism Celebration at the Barre Opera House

Past event

Please join us at the Vermont Annual Activism Celebration at the Barre Opera house 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, June 18th.

Let’s toast Vermont moving towards Zero Waste. There will be some major changes to our waste system as major benchmarks of the Universal Recycling Law go into effect this summer. Landfills are retiring. Big producers of waste have to start composting. Everyone is taking steps to reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost.

Celebrate and learn about the amazing community activism that is moving Vermont towards Zero Waste. Food and drinks provided by a dozen local restaurants and breweries including Vermont Creamery and The Daily Planet.
Guest Speaker: Nora Goldstein, editor of BioCycle Magazine and Zero Waste expert.
